About the role
- Reporting to the VP Operations, the Site General Manager plans, directs, and controls all manufacturing activities within the company.
- Coordinates operating activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards and cost goals.
- Additional duties involve the estimation of manufacturing capacity, production and materials control, warehousing and site facilities, maintenance, industrial engineering and other manufacturing activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage day to day operations through hands-on leadership, regular floor walks and provide direct feedback.
- Manage various functions, including Operations, Planning, Regulatory Compliance, Quality Assurance, Safety and Facilities.
- Coordinate with all support departments to ensure schedules remain on track and proactively resolve potential roadblocks.
- Certified or experienced in Continuous improvement framework to drive operational excellence.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations, including senior management and executive-level roles.
- High proficiency with ERP software and business intelligence tools.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or operational management with an MBA is preferred.
Skills
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and business skills effective at all organizational levels.
