About the role
- This role will require extensive travel, typically around 75%.
- All travel related expenses are paid for both the company.
- We help modernize U.S. military installations, Department of Defense and other federal agency facilities to be smarter, more resilient, efficient, sustainable, and secure.
Responsibilities
- Validates complete system functionality and resolves issues with subcontractors and others to ensure proper operation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of field experience in the commercial or industrial Electronic Security industry.
- Technical, hands-on experience with systems design, commissioning and/or programming of Electronic Security Systems.
- The ability to communicate technical material to a nontechnical audience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and general windows environment
- The ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances as needed. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)
- Performs or delegates tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects including: system programming, integration, installation coordination, system and network commissioning and project closeout
- Completes typical installation of hardware design and software programming using established standards as required.
- Develops project plans and coordinates the required resources to ensure timely and cost effective installation and completion of assigned projects.
- Manages and completes the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers as required.
Nice to have
- Technical Proficiency working with fiber and networks
- Experience working with a wide variety of commercial Electronic Security Systems
- Softwarehouse C-cure 9000, Lenel, Genetech, Bosch BVMS, etc.
- Lenel & Vindicator are preferred
- Lenel programming experience
- Experience managing or leading security related projects and associated teams
- Electronics certification from an Accredited Technical School
- As a member of our Federal Systems team, your work matters.
Compensation
- $85,000 - $105,000 base salary.
- Negotiable based on experience.
- Travel: Up to 75% supporting sites all around the United States.
- All travel related expenses are paid for by the company.
- As a Traveling Security Systems Engineer, you will:
- Act as an on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete Electronic Security projects with assigned customers in a safe and cost effective manner.
