Requirements
- Graduate degree with a major in nursing, or
- The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Nice to have
- Experience as a nursing instructor in an academic setting
- Leadership related to student success, retention and persistence
- Experience mentoring students
- Experience collaborating across departments or programs
- Demonstrated familiarity with and commitment to the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive community and technical college
- Experience in curriculum development
- Experienced in integrating cross-cultural and interdisciplinary perspectives in course instruction
- Experience teaching a diverse student population.
Compensation
- The current salary range is up to $71,893. Full-time faculty work a 171-day contract during a nine-month academic year (mid-August to mid-May).
