About the role

  • Our FDA 510(k)-cleared Waveband EEG headband and AI algorithms enable quantitative biomarker discovery and implementation.
  • Beacon Biosignals is changing the way that patients are treated for any disorder that affects brain physiology.
  • You will be working in the Device Team, reporting to the VP of Device Systems and working closely with hardware, firmware, system, and software engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute device testing in accordance with Beacon's QMS.
  • Develop and document test plans, test protocols, and test scripts for embedded systems, including hardware, firmware, and software, based on design specifications and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain test procedures, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Implement process improvements and test automation to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.

Requirements

  • This role is required to work from the Boston office around 3 days a week.
  • You have experience with writing detailed technical specifications and documentation, including requirements, test plans, protocols, and reports.
  • You have experience with embedded software that runs on a real-time operating system (RTOS).
  • You have experience with scripting languages such as Python.
  • You have experience with troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis of hardware and firmware issues in electromechanical systems.
  • You have experience with tools like Git/JIRA and platforms like GitHub.

  • The base salary range for this role is determined based on past experience, specific skills and qualifications.
