About the role
- Our FDA 510(k)-cleared Waveband EEG headband and AI algorithms enable quantitative biomarker discovery and implementation.
- Beacon Biosignals is changing the way that patients are treated for any disorder that affects brain physiology.
- You will be working in the Device Team, reporting to the VP of Device Systems and working closely with hardware, firmware, system, and software engineers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute device testing in accordance with Beacon's QMS.
- Develop and document test plans, test protocols, and test scripts for embedded systems, including hardware, firmware, and software, based on design specifications and requirements.
- Develop and maintain test procedures, fixtures, and equipment.
- Implement process improvements and test automation to enhance product quality and testing efficiency.
Requirements
- This role is required to work from the Boston office around 3 days a week.
- You have experience with writing detailed technical specifications and documentation, including requirements, test plans, protocols, and reports.
- You have experience with embedded software that runs on a real-time operating system (RTOS).
- You have experience with scripting languages such as Python.
- You have experience with troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis of hardware and firmware issues in electromechanical systems.
- You have experience with tools like Git/JIRA and platforms like GitHub.

- The base salary range for this role is determined based on past experience, specific skills and qualifications.
