Responsibilities

- IMEG's mechanical engineers design HVAC and mechanical systems that enhance building performance while advancing sustainability
- The team's specialties include advanced HVAC system design, central plants, building automation and controls, and energy recovery solutions
- Using lifecycle analysis, rapid energy modeling, and sustainable design practices, the team helps improve occupant comfort, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency
- IMEG's mechanical team has earned multiple international ASHRAE Technology Awards for energy-efficient HVAC designs
Requirements
- Proficiency of industry standard engineering software and tools including HVAC load calculation software
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in the use of BIM software
Nice to have
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and mechanical engineering best practices, and contribute to innovation efforts within IMEG
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work and help identify and mitigate risks associated with mechanical systems
- Identify potential project issues and escalate to the Project Manager as needed
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, required
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required
- 5 years of experience minimum required, 6 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
- Due to federal contract requirements, this position requires U.S. citizenship
- Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
Compensation
- Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.
- Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
