About the role
- We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and fully qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time, in-person position for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.
- You will work collaboratively with families, classroom teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure our students have equal access to their educational environments and curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Advocacy & Support: Ensure classroom environments are physically and instructionally accessible for students with visual impairments.
- In this role, you will provide critical instructional support, accommodations, and advocacy for students aged 0 to 21 who are blind or visually impaired.
- Diversity drives innovation, and we believe it is essential for success.
Nice to have
- Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Certification: Candidates who hold a dual certification/endorsement as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist are highly preferred, though this is not a strict requirement for the TVI role.
