About the role

  • As a Systems Engineer at Vatic, you will be tasked with maintaining, optimizing, and growing the infrastructure that powers our low-latency trading, and research systems.

  • The base salary range for this role is between $200,000 and $300,000.

Requirements

  • Earned or will earn a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field
  • At least 3 years of hands-on administration experience in a low-latency trading environment
  • Excellent understanding of the Linux ecosystem and expertise in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux servers
  • Expertise in tuning x86 Linux servers for low latency and deterministic performance
  • Understanding of, and experience with management of high precision clock synchronization technologies
  • Experience with automating system builds and configuration management tools
  • A strong understanding of networking concepts and key protocols (Ethernet, IP, and UDP multicast)
  • Expertise with RHEL or downstream derivatives
  • Experience managing large-scale compute clusters and high-performance distributed storage systems
  • Knowledge of core office infrastructure - think MDM, identity, data security, firewalls

Compensation

  • The base salary range for this role is between $200,000 and $300,000.
