About the role

Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Support manufacturing and operations teams through data analysis and reporting.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Support project planning, execution, and tracking activities.
- Create business process documentation, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, supply chain, quality, and finance teams to support business objectives.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of test environments and test data for machine migration activities.
- Support the development and delivery of training materials, including train-the-trainer activities.
- ALTEN is seeking a motivated and analytical Business Analyst to support Airbus operations in Kinston, NC.
- This role will partner with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes, track performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and support strategic initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related analytical role.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Nice to have
- Aerospace or aviation industry experience.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous-improvement methodologies.
- Experience working in cross-functional project teams.
- Experience supporting system, process, or machine migration initiatives.
