Responsibilities

  • Deriva Energy is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support development-stage procurement activities across its utility-scale solar and energy storage portfolio.
  • Support strategic sourcing activities for development projects, including major equipment (modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear), EPC services, and long-lead materials
  • Prepare and issue RFPs and RFQs, evaluate proposals, and support various stakeholders across Deriva
  • Support negotiations and execution of key project agreements, including equipment supply agreements and EPC agreements
  • Track procurement milestones and supplier deliverables to support project timelines
  • Support supplier performance management and issue resolution.
  • Support standardization of procurement processes, templates, and commercial terms

Requirements

  • Associate's degree with one (1) year or more of relative work experience
  • Bachelor's degree with two (2) years or more of relative experience
  • Experience supporting procurement for renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction-related projects
  • Working knowledge of commercial terms including performance guarantees, liquidated damages, warranties, indemnities, and schedule risk allocation
  • Familiarity with development-stage procurement and interconnection-driven timelines
  • Experience with procure-to-pay (P2P) processes and ERP systems (e.g., IBM Maximo and NetSuite)
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams

Nice to have

  • In lieu of an associate's degree, High school diploma/GED plus two (2) years or more of related experience
