- Coordinate vendor qualification, equipment selection, and supplier onboarding
Responsibilities
- Deriva Energy is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support development-stage procurement activities across its utility-scale solar and energy storage portfolio.
- Support strategic sourcing activities for development projects, including major equipment (modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear), EPC services, and long-lead materials
- Prepare and issue RFPs and RFQs, evaluate proposals, and support various stakeholders across Deriva
- Support negotiations and execution of key project agreements, including equipment supply agreements and EPC agreements
- Track procurement milestones and supplier deliverables to support project timelines
- Support supplier performance management and issue resolution.
- Support standardization of procurement processes, templates, and commercial terms
Requirements
- Associate's degree with one (1) year or more of relative work experience
- Bachelor's degree with two (2) years or more of relative experience
- Experience supporting procurement for renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction-related projects
- Working knowledge of commercial terms including performance guarantees, liquidated damages, warranties, indemnities, and schedule risk allocation
- Familiarity with development-stage procurement and interconnection-driven timelines
- Experience with procure-to-pay (P2P) processes and ERP systems (e.g., IBM Maximo and NetSuite)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams
Nice to have
- In lieu of an associate's degree, High school diploma/GED plus two (2) years or more of related experience
