About the role
- This role is both builder and fixer: writing production Rails code, improving infrastructure and delivery workflows, and raising the bar on reliability, scalability, and execution across teams.

Responsibilities
- Solid understanding of software architecture, system design, and tradeoffs at scale.
- Proven ability to debug complex production issues and drive them to resolution.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building and operating production-grade Ruby on Rails applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (e.g., EKS/ECS, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
Nice to have
- Experience leading or contributing to single-tenant → multi-tenant SaaS transformations.
- Experience with distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, or event-driven systems at scale
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
- Experience operating high-traffic, multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, or Scout APM.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes-based orchestration at scale.
- Knowledge of background job processing systems (e.g., Sidekiq, Resque).
- Experience modernizing large legacy Rails codebases.
Skills

Compensation
- The base salary range for this US-based, full-time, and exempt position is $140,000-155,000/yr, not including variable compensation.
