Requirements
- Active, in-good-standing national certification (e.g., PTCB, ExCPT) must be maintained throughout employment.
- Must have at least 1,000 hours of experience working as a pharmacy technician in an outpatient setting under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Demonstrates meticulous accuracy to prevent medication errors.
- The ability to clearly and effectively communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- A genuine concern for patient well-being and the ability to work with people who are ill or in distress.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and point-of-sale operations, preferred DRX.
- Proficient in medical terminology, pharmacy calculations, and brand/generic drug names.
