About the role

  • Under the supervision of the Supervisor, the Therapist is responsible for completing clinical assessments and providing therapy to individuals, families and groups.
  • Uses independent judgment and discretion to provide individual, child, family and group therapy; counseling; crisis intervention; and advocacy services to children and families.

Requirements

  • 2 years of therapeutic experience.
  • Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work required.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance or reliable transportation depending on business needs.
  • Required to travel extensively (> 50% of the time).
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Current Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) registration required.
  • Maintains patient privacy, including protecting the confidentiality, safeguarding the integrity and availability, and limiting the use and disclosure of patient Protected Health Information (PHI) to authorized individuals and entities.
  • Participates in, conducts, and sustains performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities.
  • Sensitivity to service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Punctual and dependable attendance.

Nice to have

  • Spanish / English bilingual preferred.

Skills

  • Must have intermediate knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel and E-mail.
  • Database software
  • Proficient in Electronic Health Records System

Compensation

  • $73,601.00 USD - $85,469.00 USD
  • In accordance with California law, the expected pay range for this position is included in this posting.
  • The actual compensation will be determined based on factors permitted by law.
  • New hires will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range to maintain internal inequity and allow opportunity for future salary growth.
