About the role

  • The position is scheduled for shift, from 5AM - 5PM or 5PM - 5AM on a 2-2-3 schedule.

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you're responsible for servicing all company equipment within budget while identifying opportunities to improve plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • As a Maintenance Technician at ROCKWOOL, you'll perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment in your assigned area.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities to identify recurring issues and support the development of proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Provide electrical and instrumentation support to the functional area to ensure production can continue in a safe and effective manner.
  • Install and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
  • Perform Electrical and PLC tasks including but not limited to the following: Calibrating, monitoring, repairing and maintaining transmitters, controllers, plant safety systems, power systems and sensors.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree or relevant certification or work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years practical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and with automated equipment required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers(PLC)/Automation, specifically Siemens and Endress+Hauser instrumentation.
  • Welding, hydraulic, pneumatic and conveying systems experience required.
  • Demonstrated or proven:
  • Grow and develop the team by sharing knowledge / experience.
  • What you will be doing:
  • Conduct advanced troubleshooting and investigation of mechanical and electrical equipment failures within assigned operational areas. Document all maintenance and repair activities to identify recurring issues and support the development of proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Complete equipment and industrial machinery repairs and parts replacement when required while maintaining a stock of tools, parts and supplies needed to manage day-to-day maintenance.

  • $36 - $44 per hour
