About the role

  • You will serve as a hybrid leader and hands-on contributor.
  • Team Leadership: Assign and oversee daily tasks for Engineering Technicians, ensuring project goals are met with high-quality outcomes.
  • Mentorship: Provide hands-on training, feedback, and career guidance to technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex assembly, bring-up, testing, and debugging of new components and prototypes.
  • Prioritize tasks across multiple departments to manage shifting project timelines.
  • Update and maintain engineering documentation, test procedures, and assembly instructions.

Requirements

  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Extensive experience with electronics prototyping, soldering, and complex system debug.
  • You are comfortable reading PCBA schematics and wire assembly drawings.
  • You are also comfortable in ambiguous situations when little to no documentation exists.
  • You are comfortable providing constructive feedback and helping others level up their skills.
  • Ability to "change gears" daily-managing team priorities one moment and performing deep-dive technical rework the next-without losing focus.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between high-level engineering objectives and day-to-day technician tasks.
  • Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with electronics prototyping, soldering, and complex system debug.
