About the role

The Engineer is responsible for maintaining guest rooms, public areas, mechanical systems, and hotel equipment while ensuring a safe, comfortable, and exceptional guest experience.
This position plays a critical role in minimizing guest room downtime, responding promptly to maintenance requests, and supporting Marriott brand standards.
Essential Responsibilities Guest Room Maintenance Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service calls.

This is not an apartment maintenance or commercial building maintenance position.
Perform repairs in guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas.
Preventive Maintenance Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on guest rooms and hotel equipment.
Support asset preservation initiatives that extend equipment life and reduce costly repairs.

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as business requires.

Participate in emergency response procedures.
Assist with fire life safety inspections.
Report safety hazards immediately.
Teamwork Work closely with Housekeeping to return guestrooms to service quickly.
Coordinate with Front Office regarding out-of-order rooms and guest requests.
Participate in daily engineering meetings and shift handoffs.
Assist with hotel renovation and capital improvement projects.
