About the role

  • The Director, Data & Metrics, will oversee measurements of Commerce outputs and outcomes and provide quantitative and qualitative analysis to produce data driven reports as needed for legislation, Department materials, and Commerce Director requests.
  • Data wrangling and coordination of Commerce unit data entry for quarterly reporting.
  • Provide timely analysis of metric shifts.

Responsibilities

  • The Office of Policy & Strategic Initiatives oversees functions needed to support and promote all of the above Commerce Department priorities.

Requirements

  • Other duties as required.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, with major course work in a quantitative subject such as statistics, economics, applied mathematics.
  • Must have excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • The successful candidate must be a city of Philadelphia resident within six months of hire

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other office platforms.
  • Experience with QuickBase is a plus.

Compensation

  • $75,000 - $100,000
