About the role

Responsibilities
- This role supports the histology department through subject matter and training expertise to ensure all team members are trained properly and competencies are successfully met and documented.
- Provide and document new hire training in the department in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Training to support promotions or additional responsibilities.
- Create training materials to support training activities.
- Perform and document direct observations.
- Maintain accurate records of training in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience providing instructor led in-person and/or virtual training, either in a laboratory or other setting.
- Ability to work a designated schedule.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends, as needed.
- Ability to work overtime, as needed.
- Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.
- Ability to use a telephone through a headset.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds for approximately 20% of a typical working day.
- Ability to grasp with both hands
Nice to have
- 1+ year experience in a mentorship role or directly/indirectly leading others.
- Experience with a laboratory information management (LIM) or LIS software.
- Experience working in a molecular laboratory.
- Experience in Next Generation Sequencing.
