About the role
- The Commercial Lines Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the commercial insurance team, ensuring effective servicing of client accounts, driving revenue growth, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- This role provides leadership while also collaborating with sales teams to grow and retain the commercial book of business.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and training to ensure professional growth
Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of commercial lines account managers and support staff
- Lead team meetings and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Manage complex or high-value client relationships
- Partner with producers/sales teams to onboard new clients and ensure smooth transitions
- Monitor retention strategies and implement improvements to enhance client satisfaction
- Optimize workflows, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverages
- Proficiency with agency management systems (EPIC) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
Nice to have
- 5-10+ years of commercial insurance experience
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
- Active Florida 2-20 or insurance license is required
- Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, or ARM (preferred)
