About the role
- These relationships may include banks, financial institutions, payment processors, fiat on/off-ramp providers, treasury and liquidity providers, compliance infrastructure providers, fintech platforms, and other strategic financial ecosystem participants.
- Success in this role requires exceptional organization, strong relationship management, sound commercial judgment, and a deep understanding of how modern financial infrastructure is built and operated.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new partnerships that unlock product capabilities, regulatory coverage, market access, improved economics, or operational efficiencies
Responsibilities
- You will own the strategy and execution behind some of Rain's most important external relationships.
- Define and execute Rain's financial partnership strategy to support product expansion, geographic growth, and infrastructure resilience
- Build and deepen executive-level relationships across financial institutions, fintech infrastructure providers, and strategic ecosystem partners
- Drive commercial negotiations, partnership structuring, and long-term strategic agreements that create durable value for both Rain and its partners
- Develop and maintain executive engagement strategies for key partners and stakeholders
- We partner with fintechs, neobanks, and institutions to help them launch solutions that are global, inclusive, and efficient.
- To support this mission, we issue a card for our team to utilize the card for testing.

Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, financial services, fintech, payments, banking, crypto, or financial infrastructure
- Experience negotiating and managing complex commercial relationships involving legal, compliance, operational, technical, and executive stakeholders
- Strong understanding of stablecoins, cross-border payments, financial infrastructure, and the evolving intersection of traditional finance and digital assets
- Experience leading large cross-functional initiatives that require alignment across multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Experience operating within regulated environments and working closely with compliance, legal, and risk teams
- Ability to evaluate partnership opportunities through strategic, commercial, operational, and regulatory lenses
- Experience in senior roles at both large enterprises and startup or scale-up companies.

- Existing network across fintech, banking, payments, stablecoin, or broader financial infrastructure ecosystems is strongly preferred
