About the role
- Oversees the quality, education, and performance improvement initiatives within the respiratory department to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adherence to evidence-based standards of care.
- Two (2) years of respiratory therapy experience.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, monitor, and continuously improve respiratory services to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Lead ongoing clinical quality improvement initiatives within the respiratory department.
- Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and committees to ensure evidence-based clinical quality goals and outcomes are developed and implemented according to established standards of care
- Collaborate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures related to respiratory care and quality standards.

Skills
- Possesses knowledge of therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures, cardiopulmonary assessments, and patient evaluation.
- Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and physics as applied to respiratory care.
- Skilled in respiratory health promotion, disease prevention, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
