About the role
- Full Time | Monday-Friday
Responsibilities
- Elicit referrals for students in need of placement through outreach to Central Based Support Team.
- Conduct observations to assess student's ability to interact and perform; identify individual student needs to participate in the least restrictive environment.
- Provide teaching staff with support in developing lessons, planning instruction and classroom management.
- Provide direct classroom support in the implementation of methodologies and approaches.
- Work individually and collectively with teaching staff to ensure they are properly trained; support the professional development of staff by presenting workshops in effective content area instructional practices.
Requirements
- Candidates with an SWD Birth-Grade 2 & School Based Leader Certification is REQUIRED- those in process of their SBL will be considered.
- Salaries commensurate with licensure and years of experience.
- Minimum five years of experience as teacher of students with disabilities
- School Based Leader Certification is required- acceptable for those in process of their SBL.
Compensation
- $80,340-83,151 (Annual)
- Monitor educational programming; ensure staff is knowledgeable regarding responsibilities related to implementation of the IEP; ensure pre- and post-assessment of students' development; collect and review progress reports for IEP updates and annual review as per the specifications and time lines mandated in SED regulations and DOE contracts.
