About the role

- Zumilokibart (APG777), the company's most advanced program, is being initially developed for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD), which is the largest and one of the least penetrated I&I markets, as well as asthma.
- With four validated targets in its portfolio, Apogee is seeking to achieve best-in-class efficacy and dosing through monotherapies and combinations of its novel antibodies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and oversee disease-relevant and complex in vitro and ex vivo models using multiple primary human cell types to evaluate the mechanism of action of Apogee antibodies and target biology.
- Manage and coordinate projects (in-house & CRO) to ensure adherence to timelines and goals.
- Collaborate with scientists across functions to generate high-quality data supporting programs from discovery through development.
- Hands-on expertise developing and validating complex in vitro and ex vivo functional models using disease relevant cell types.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing timelines and shifting priorities simultaneously.
- Experience managing and developing junior scientists.
- Apogee offers regular all team, in-person meetings to build relationships and problem solve
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree and a minimum of 6 years of scientific/technical experience.
Nice to have
- Broad understanding of I&I disease biology (atopic dermatitis, asthma, and EoE) and underlying disease mechanisms is required and familiarity with inflammatory cytokine/chemokine networks is strongly preferred.
Compensation
- Position requires up to 10% travel including mandatory in-person attendance at All Hands meetings typically held twice per year.
- The anticipated salary range for candidates for this role will be $185,000 - $205,000 / year.
- The final salary offered will depend on several factors, which may include, but is not limited to relevant years of experience, educational background, and geography.
