About the role
- The Facilities Mechanic I is responsible for preventive and routine maintenance of facility equipment, compounding equipment, and facility maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and paint.

- This role is to troubleshoot issues, repair failures of compounding and facility equipment, and to ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.
- Schedule 2nd shift Monday-Friday 3:00pm - 12:00am.
- Overtime may be required for this position.
- Repairs, installs, and adjusts industrial machinery such as compounding vessels, pumps, grinders, mixers, air compressors, boilers, chillers, vacuum system, dust collection systems, and HVAC.
- Troubleshoots and repairs pneumatic switches, valves, and cylinders.
- Assists in the installation and set-up of new equipment to include electrical, air, and ventilation as needed.
- Assists in the repair, replacement and maintenance of drywall, flooring, ceiling tiles, leaks, plumbing, and other facility maintenance tasks as needed.
Skills
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and precision, as well as good problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with welding and machine shop work.
- Familiarity with the operation of industrial lift trucks and scissor/boom lifts.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills familiarity.
- Familiar with industrial tools and equipment.
- Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Experience Required High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
