About the role
- The position is responsible for assisting senior litigation counsel with the management of cases and disputes, primarily in the negligence, employment, and bankruptcy areas.
- The position will focus primarily on domestic matters, with opportunities to work on non-US matters.
- The position reports to the Deputy General Counsel for Litigation.
Responsibilities
- Manage discovery in assigned cases
- Lead internal investigations of negligence and employment matters
- Manage case budgets and outside counsels' compliance with NCR's Outside Counsel Billing Guidelines
Nice to have
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- At least 3 years' experience in a law firm litigation group, including ideally a working understanding of US bankruptcy law
- Knowledge of privilege issues relevant to in-house practice
- Excellent legal judgment and ability to work independently
- Strong negotiation skills
- Superior legal and business writing skills
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Familiarity with electronic discovery protocols and litigation technology
