About the role
- The Retirement Services Specialist serves as a key relationship manager supporting a portfolio of employer-sponsored retirement plans.
Responsibilities
- Overall coordination responsibility for the plan's operation to ensure work performed is in compliance with governmental and/or plan document requirements, and meets quality standards.
- Lead client investment committee meetings
- Review materials for their client's meetings and create meeting minutes.
- Create fee benchmarking and Request for Proposals for clients.
- Manage and resolve difficult administration and servicing issues
- Build and maintain knowledge on vendor products and features, processes and procedures and industry/regulatory changes.
- Assist in developing fee and service proposals for all prospects.
- This includes serving as the primary day-to-day employer contact, communicating with a variety of external partners, and assuming ownership for creating and maintaining successful working relationships.
- Manage and resolve difficult administration and servicing issues; errors, corrections, etc.
- Sponsorship and support for obtaining professional certifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
- Experience managing client relationships and leading meetings.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- 5-7 years of retirement services or institutional relationship management experience.
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS regulations, and retirement plan operations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Compensation
- $77,000 - $108,000/YR *Actual offer will be based on experience, location, education, and/or skills*
