About the role

  • Hi, Our client is looking for an Cloud AWS Engineer for a project and below is the detailed requirement.
  • Job Title: Cloud AWS Engineer Location: Hartford, CT Experience: 12-14+ years for overall Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect / AWS Certified DevOps Engineer / or equivalent are needed.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and/or CloudFormation for automated provisioning and configuration management.
  • Build, optimize, and support CI/CD pipelines to enable automated application deployment and infrastructure delivery.
  • Manage and maintain AWS services including EC2, IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, Route 53, Lambda, and related cloud resources.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams to deploy and support cloud-native applications.
  • Implement cloud security controls, identity management, access governance, and compliance best practices across AWS environments.
  • Support containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, and EKS platforms where applicable.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security scanning, compliance validation, and automated controls into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Perform root cause analysis for production incidents, outages, and performance issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, Load Balancers, Route 53, and related services.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational support of cloud environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field with 12-14+ years of overall experience.

Nice to have

  • AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent are preferred.

Skills

  • 6+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Strong scripting experience using Python, Bash, or similar automation languages.
  • Experience with Git-based source code management and version control practices.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles, IAM policies, encryption, compliance, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms including Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps practices and automated security controls is preferred.
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience utilizing AI-driven operational or monitoring tools is a plus.
