About the role
- The Adult Medical Intensive Care Unit is a 36-bed unit in the new state-of-the-art adult medicine tower at OU Health.
- We treat a wide variety of critically ill patients from across central Oklahoma and surrounding areas.
- We specialize in high-acuity pulmonary, metabolic, endocrine, oncology and peri/post resuscitation patients as well as many disease processes.
Responsibilities
- Delivers patient care safely and competently.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire.
- Knowledge of basic professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
Nice to have
- Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Specialty certification(s) preferred.
