High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of college level courses.
5 years of job experience in construction, permitting or other related activity.
Ability to read construction drawings.
Extensive knowledge of computers and software such as databases, spreadsheets and word processors.
Interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials.
Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
Texas Floodplain Management Association (TFMA) Certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
Must be able to explain the Regulations to citizens, to review permit applications for compliance, and to provide adequate interpretations.
