About the role
- Senior Engineer, Site Reliability Engineering (Cloud Focus: AWS & Azure)
- We are evolving our Reliability Engineering team to move beyond support and operations. As a Senior Engineer in Site Reliability, you will be part of a diverse and inclusive organization that has full ownership of the availability, performance, and scalability of one of the most critical shared services at LSEG.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation for AWS and Azure environments to scale systems sustainably, prevent service issues, and enable rapid recovery.
- Partner with development teams to improve reliability, observability, and release velocity using cloud-native tools and guidelines.
- Advocate for strong engineering practices for building, deploying, and running scalable, reliable services across AWS and Azure.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Python).
- Experience maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (or AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda) and familiarity with Azure equivalents.
- Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, or Azure Monitor.
Nice to have
- 8-10 years of proven experience.
- Strong understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework and Azure Architecture Center.
- Experience with cloud security guidelines (IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager).
- Familiarity with cloud-native databases (AWS RDS/DynamoDB, Azure SQL).
- Knowledge of DevOps concepts and modern cloud-native architectures.
