About the role
- With over 5,000 employees and a presence in every county across the state, Texas A&M AgriLife is uniquely positioned to improve lives, environments and the Texas economy through education, research, extension and service.
- This position will assist a team in field preparation, planting, in-season management, harvest, and data collection in a wide variety of crop species in South Texas.
Responsibilities
- Produces and or delivers presentations
- Assist with field day and other outreach events for stakeholders and industry partners.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Texas Pesticide Applicator License.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: -Knowledge of word processing, database, presentation and spreadsheet applications. -Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Required licenses or certifications for this position:
Nice to have
- Two years of experience in agricultural field operations.
- Experience conducting applied research in row crops.
- Experience working with GPS guidance.
- Proficiency with basic statistical methods analyzing data from field experiments.

Skills
- Knowledge of word processing, database, presentation and spreadsheet applications.

- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate tractors and other basic farm equipment.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and minor repairs of farm equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
