About the role

Amwins Access – Admitted Placement Services (APS) is hiring a Production Underwriter to help build and grow a commercial admitted book of business. This is a sales-focused, production-oriented role for someone who enjoys developing agency relationships, driving new business, and owning results—with the support, tools, and market access of an industry leader.
With a strong and expanding footprint, APS offers significant growth potential, flexibility, and an entrepreneurial environment—ideal for an up-and-coming professional ready to build a book, and equally attractive for an experienced producer looking to take production to the next level.

Proactively build a new book of business by identifying, marketing to, and onboarding new agency partners and accounts.
Work closely with carrier partners and retail agents to quote, bind, retain, and resolve risks.
Create and execute agency sales and marketing plans to drive new business and renewal retention.
Develop long-term agency relationships and analyze book performance to prioritize high-potential opportunities.
Partner with internal teams to support cross-sell and expansion opportunities across the Amwins network.

2+ years of commercial account management experience in a retail agency or wholesaler environment (preferred)
Insurance designations are a plus
