About the role
- Specific Role: Welder is a key role in EMIT's manufacturing facility.
- This role is responsible for welding parts, according to blueprints and instructions, based on your daily production scheduled expectations.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks to meet daily production priorities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including completing the weekly welder checklist.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Always use proper PPE when required.
- 1+ year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment (MIG/TIG/Stick as applicable)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. repeatedly and stand/walk for the duration of a shift
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet daily production expectations
- Proficient in cutting, bending, and grinding to achieve proper fitment
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met
- Comfortable escalating errors or process changes to team leadership
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all PPE and safety requirements
- Physical & Safety Requirements:
- Comfortable standing, walking, and moving for the duration of a shift.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- welding certification or technical training preferred
Compensation
- $50k-$75k
