Responsibilities

  • Conducts brief interventions, individual, family and group counselling within scope of practice. Participates in redirecting individual behavior while maintaining a safe milieu when necessary. Documents all services and individual activities appropriately.
  • Provides case management services to promote recovery and community reintegration. Conducts crisis interventions and follow up as necessary. Maintains a working knowledge of the Virginia Involuntary Commitment process.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Completes all required training, attend monthly meetings, and maintain required competencies.
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, substance dependency, or related field
  • Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques
  • Must be able to pass Virginia Department of Social Services (VA DSS) Office of Background Investigations - Central Registry Search
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Virginia involuntary treatment process
  • Must be able to pass Virginia Department of Social Services (VA DSS) Office of Background Investigations
  • All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company's exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment
  • Participates in individual and group supervision as required.
