Responsibilities
- Performs equipment maintenance activities.
- Assists lead or supervisor with rechecks as directed.
- Follows applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), including safety and quality procedures. Maintains clean and organized work area. Restocks supplies as needed.
- May be cross trained to perform other duties, such as performing less complex tests, including duties performed by Para Aide.

- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- The ability to observe details at close range.

Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent required, Science degree or vet technician experience is preferred.
- Prior lab experience preferred.
Skills
- Laboratory skills, with experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests and operating lab instruments preferred.
- Knowledge of medical and laboratory terminology, Parasitology procedures, equipment, and familiarity with a microscope preferred
- General science background
- Attention to detail and organized with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to communicate information so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Positive, can-do attitude
- General computer skills
- Stationary Position- must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 2 hours.
- Constantly operates a computer and other lab equipment accurately and efficiently.
- Occasionally required to bend, kneel, stoop, or crouch
- May be required to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Heavy microscopic work
