About the role

  • The Senior Property Manager provides strategic and hands-on leadership for a regional portfolio of shallow bay, multi-tenant industrial, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, high-quality tenant service, and timely financial and operational reporting.
  • The position is integral to achieving operational excellence, supporting disciplined acquisitions, and contributing to the long-term value creation of Speed Bay's national portfolio through proactive management and technology-enabled practices.
  • Oversee a portfolio of multi-tenant industrial, setting performance expectations and standards for operations, tenant service, and financial results.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team that may include Property Managers, Assistant Property Managers, and coordinators, providing guidance, performance feedback, and training.
  • Step in to perform full-cycle property management duties (tenant communications, vendor coordination, budgeting, reporting, inspections, and collections) when roles are vacant, during transitions, or as the portfolio scales.
  • Manage and supervise day-to-day operations for assigned in accordance with established policies, management agreements, and business plans.
  • Build strong relationships with local brokers, managers, and vendors to support leasing, renewals, and smooth property operations.

Requirements

  • A valid real estate license, in good standing with the relevant state licensing authority, is required for this role.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically at a portfolio level and tactically at an individual asset level, including stepping into day-to-day management when needed (i.e. player coach role).
  • Adept analytical skills utilizing Excel, with the ability to interpret financial reports and operating data.
  • Working knowledge of Yardi or similar property management software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • At any time, employees may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization and participate in additional trainings.
  • Maintain proficiency in property management technology (e.g., Yardi), Microsoft Office Suite, and other management tools necessary for operations and reporting (Asana, SharePoint/OneDrive).
  • Strong relationship-building skills with tenants, brokers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • collaborative working style to drive cross-functional results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple and initiatives under deadlines.
  • Willingness to respond to operational needs, including off-hours requests, as necessary.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, finance, or related discipline preferred.
  • 8 -12 years of progressive property management experience, with at least 3 years managing multi-tenant commercial or industrial
  • prior experience leading or mentoring a team strongly preferred.

Compensation

  • Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data.
