About the role

Work Schedule: Work assignments and weekly hours will vary based on departmental needs and the calendar of events.
Hours per week: This is an on-call, part-time position with no guaranteed number of hours.

Candidates must be available to work weekends as needed and have flexibility to accept assignments during peak operational periods, particularly in May, June, and November.

We are currently seeking an Events Assistant in our Events and Guest Services office.
The Events Assistant supports the office by modeling and demonstrating the highest standard of excellence in quality customer service, responding quickly and courteously to patrons' needs, in event preparation and conclusion, in the College's performing arts venues or conference facilities on the Rome and Utica Campuses.
for this position include:
Operates the Box Office Ticketing system to sell and process tickets, handling cash and credit card sales and reconciling with reports; Scans patron's tickets upon entry and usher to the correct seat; Assists patrons with special seating requests or needs; Answers Box Office phone calls; Operates the concession stand; Serves as a contact person on-site for assigned event; Sets up technical needs for presenters such as PowerPoints, connecting to Wifi, or turning on music, when applicable; Performs other duties related to the job description as assigned by the Assistant Director of Events and Guest Services.
