About the role
- Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline testing processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Champion Environment, Health Safety (EHS) practices, integrating them into daily lab operations and development plans.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor supervisors and unionized lab personnel, fostering a culture of performance and safety.
- Manage engineering and technical functions within the test lab, ensuring high-quality testing and analysis.
- Develop and enforce standardized testing protocols in line with IEEE, CSA, and other global standards.
- Strategically manage lab cost center and budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), equipment lifecycle planning, preventive/corrective maintenance and capacity optimization.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Production, R D, Quality) for product qualification and issue resolution.
- Monitor and analyze test results to support product validation, development, and customer certification.
