About the role
- The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Product Team at Commure + Athelas powers the core operating system for our practices.
- Beyond development, this role will help define the technical direction of Insights' architecture, shaping how and where services are built and deployed.
- You'll help foster a culture of continuous improvement, enhancing the reliability, scalability, and performance of our web applications while elevating the technical skills of the entire engineering organization.
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical direction of our practice management platform, Insights, ensuring it scales to support thousands of practices and millions of users
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack solutions using ReactJS, Python, and PostgreSQL
- Optimize performance and scalability of our web applications, ensuring seamless user experiences as we rapidly expand
- Collaborate with infrastructure and backend teams to ensure high availability and resilience of core functions
- Lead and deliver high-impact projects, balancing speed and quality in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
- Conduct in-depth code reviews, uphold best practices, and drive architectural improvements across the stack
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on building scalable full-stack applications
Requirements
- Proficiency in full-stack development with expertise in JavaScript (React/Vue), Python, and PostgreSQL
Nice to have
- Experience scaling front-end applications in a fast-growing, high-traffic environment
- Deep understanding of frontend performance optimizations and ability to diagnose bottlenecks in React applications
- Strong product intuition with a track record of influencing UX/UI decisions to improve usability
- Experience with developer tooling and CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications
- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong engineering blog presence
- Experience working in highly regulated industries (finance, insurance, government) with a focus on security and compliance
