About the role
- Our insurance-grade AI is accurate, explainable, and secure-empowering human experts to move with unmatched speed, total confidence, and a renewed focus on the people they serve.
- You will guide and scale a high-performing group of Data Scientists and Engineers focused on US Health, within our global 200+ person Data Science organization.
- Your actual base salary will vary based on factors including location and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Lead Architectural Innovation: Champion the design and productization of robust data pipelines optimized for LLMs, ensuring the team successfully deploys advanced agentic frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph, OpenAI Agent SDK, MCP, A2A).
- Exceptional Communication: A demonstrated ability to co-create products alongside clients, manage complex stakeholder expectations, and act as a bridge between deep technical execution and commercial business needs.
- Model-Agnostic Governance: Maintain a modular, agile product strategy, ensuring Shift's infrastructure allows for seamless integration and swapping of underlying capabilities as the market evolves.

Compensation
- $160,000 - $200,000 USD
- Competitive Salary and a variable component tied to personal and company performance
- 2 MAD Days per year (Make A Difference Days for paid volunteering)
