About the role
- Texas Capital Bank is seeking a Network Security Engineer with deep expertise of web proxy and content filtering.
- Optimizing web proxy policies, governance, and posture across all Texas Capital networks.
- Serve as an escalation point to the SOC for network security-based events and anomalies.
Responsibilities
- Coordinated partnership with Enterprise Browser Security Team's design, deployment, and management solutions.
- Policy Development: Develop and enforce security policies for browser usage, network protection, application control, and privilege management.
- User Awareness: Support security awareness initiatives related to safe browser, network, and application usage.
- Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for security configurations, incident response, and operational procedures.

Requirements
- Minimum 8 years in information security, security infrastructure, or technical services.
- 5+ years of direct experience with web proxy technologies.
- 2+ years firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs, DDoS mitigation highly desired.
- Experience with application privilege management tools and enforcing least privilege principles.
- Experience with network and cloud architecture, network segmentation, policy enforcement, and governance in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
- Experience integrating network security technologies with SIEM/SOAR platforms.
- Strong knowledge of industry security standards and guidelines.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong background in networking, routing, TCP/IP.
- Technical Skills:
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP or vendor-specific network security certifications are a plus.
- Additional knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, DDoS mitigation, and network and cloud architecture is highly preferred.

Skills
- Deep understanding of network-based attacks with emphasis on web threats and mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of Windows, macOS, and mobile network security best-practices.
- Familiarity with cloud-based browser security solutions is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of industry security standards and guidelines. Such as NIST, CSF, RMO.
- Strong knowledge of security technology, such as firewalls, detection/prevention systems, and encryption.
- Strong ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources, including performance and risk metrics.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
