About the role
- The part-time Nurse Practitioner under the direct supervision of the Medical Director provides primary care to health center patients using a model that focuses on holistic patient care, including health promotion and behavior change.
- (Responsibilities to include but not limited to the following) Elicits, records and interprets the past medical history, family and social history as it applies to the resident.
- Completes timely documentation of patient assessment and plan of care in the electronic health record and generates appropriate health reports for outgoing correspondence.
Responsibilities
- These procedures are to be according to established protocols in which the PA is trained and approved to implement.
- Collaborate with nursing staff/nursing administration to monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care.
- Determine care requirements and develop programs for a specific patient population, with regard to patient condition and age, and follow universal precautions.

Requirements
- Knowledge of Current Procedural terminology coding (ICD-9 codes) as required by third party payors.
- Must be certified as a Nurse Practitioner.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- National Certification preferred.

- $16k-$24k
