Responsibilities

  • The Amazon Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) team is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive Research Engineer specializing in hardware design for cryogenic environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 5+ years relevant experience, or PhD with 2+ years relevant experience.
  • Experience with cryogenic mechanical design and product development lifecycle
  • Expertise with Finite Element Analysis (Thermal, Mechanical, EM) and 3D CAD (SolidWorks)
  • The ideal candidate

Nice to have

  • PhD in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or related field
  • Experience with quantum hardware development and quantum processor packaging
  • Knowledge of RF/Microwave principles
  • Experience with PCB design and manufacturing
