About the role

  • The Mechanical Engineering Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, is inviting applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor.
  • This is a teaching-focused position with a general expectation of teaching 4 sections per semester in the fall and spring semesters plus optional summer courses and moderate service. This position has no research expectations, although opportunities for research may exist. Non-tenure track faculty members at Embry-Riddle are eligible for future promotion

Requirements

  • An interest in, and experience with, advising student project teams is highly desirable.
  • Required Education and Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate will have a strong desire to focus on innovative and high-quality instruction in a collegial and collaborative environment and will hold an earned PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. Candidates with prior teaching and/or industrial experience are encouraged to apply. An interest in, and experience with, advising student project teams is highly desirable.
