  • GPC's policy is to recruit, hire, train, promote, assign, transfer and terminate employees based on their own ability, achievement, experience and conduct and other legitimate business reasons.
  • The manager supports the development and control of procedures, work instructions, and drawings within the division.
  • Supports the creation and implementation of product test and standard operating procedures throughout the division while sharing best practices throughout the business.
  • Plans and executes internal and external audits to maintain/improve ISO processes and procedures.
  • Collaborates with teams from different departments to resolve quality and engineering issues.
  • The manager provides quality support for day-to- day operational activities, to improve processes, product performance and procedures to eliminate or reduce defects' causes.
  • Prepares reports and metrics on site specific and quality KPI's and trends to drive continuous improvement across the division.
  • Keeps up-to-date with current and developing manufacturing/engineering/ISO trends concerning environmental and product quality.
  • Performs efficient/effective routine and non-routine quality and engineering inspections for product process acceptability.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination within Quality or Engineering.

Skills

  • Proficient with tools like 6S, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke, FMEA's, Measurement System Analysis, and other Continuous Improvement (CI) tools.
  • Technical background preferred with a focus on quality engineering.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Must possess a mindset focused on the principles of Continuous Improvement.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize and be responsive to requests.
  • Strong ethical standards and a high level of integrity.
  • Domestic and international travel up to 25% of time.
