About the role
- We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused Sales Representative to grow our employee benefits wholesale business throughout the Pacific Northwest.
- You'll sell through insurance brokers, not directly to employers, developing and managing broker relationships and helping insurance professionals bring better benefit solutions to their clients across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and the broader PNW market.
- You'll have the autonomy to pioneer new business within established markets, lead strategic growth initiatives, and have a direct hand in shaping the next phase of our growth, backed by strong internal support and a growing portfolio of benefit solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships with insurance brokers throughout the Pacific Northwest.
- Identify new broker opportunities and build a consistent pipeline of prospects.
- Take ownership of selected growth initiatives designed to increase broker engagement and market presence.
- Educate brokers on available solutions, market opportunities, and how our team can support their clients.
- Work closely with internal sales, underwriting, account management, and leadership teams to deliver a strong broker experience.
- This is a high-opportunity role for a self-starter who's highly motivated, comfortable working independently, and excited to build a meaningful territory.
Requirements
- Travel may be required for special events, and meetings, not to exceed 25%.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of carrier products and networks in the Pacific Northwest.
- Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Required Travel: Up to 25%
- 3 years of work experience specializing in employee benefits, insurance, broker sales, wholesale sales, or a related business development role is preferred.
- Must have a Life & Health insurance license in their state of residence.
- Have previously established relationships with the Pacific Northwest broker community.
- Excellent listening and communications skills to effectively identify client's needs, provide guidance, and close sales.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks to completion.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work and collaborate with individuals or group at all organizational levels

- Curious and willing to learn the employee benefits marketplace.
Compensation
- The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 to $100,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
