Responsibilities
- Perform test procedures specific to assigned section
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred at hire.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of general laboratory experience in a hospital or acute care setting or three (3) continuous years with Marin General Hospital.
- Participate in Proficiency Testing (CAP surveys)
Nice to have
- Lic Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS-L) required at hire.
- Integrative Agitation Management (IAMTAC) required within 30 days of hire
Skills
- Ability to work in teams in which all members are mutually accountable
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members, hospital staff, patients, and physicians
- Willingness and ability to be trained in more than one laboratory discipline
- Capable of organizing multiple tasks, using time management skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer knowledge with the ability to do data entry and retrieval
- Knowledge of blood/body fluid precautions
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, speak, write, understand and follow English verbal and written instructions
- Demonstrated technical proficiency
- Ability to delegate and direct others in the performance of laboratory procedures
- Possess the ability to distinguish colors for interpreting colorimetric reactions and cellular morphology

- The posted pay range complies with applicable law and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role.
- Individual pay is set by skills, experience, qualifications, and internal/market equity, consistent with MarinHealth's compensation philosophy.
