About the role
- As a Structural Designer III, you will join our growing structural engineering team and contribute to a wide range of renewable energy projects.
- The ideal candidate works under minimal supervision, applying advanced CAD skills to produce high-quality structural drawings, models, and details.
- Use Autodesk products to produce structural construction drawings and sheet sets - plan views, sections, elevations, and connection and foundation details - for solar (PV), battery storage (BESS), and high-voltage (HV) projects.
Responsibilities
- Model and detail foundations (driven piles, screw and helical piles, and cast-in-place concrete), overhead steel structures, building envelopes, and non-building structures.
- Generate foundation bills of material (BOMs) and quantity takeoffs across large project areas, working closely with the civil design team.
- Work closely with structural engineers to interpret design intent and translate markups into accurate, complete drawings and models.
- Coordinate with other disciplines such as civil, electrical, and geotechnical to ensure design integration and constructability.
- Coach and mentor junior designers, and help develop and maintain CAD standards, templates, and design automation.
- Working knowledge of structural detailing for foundations, steel, and concrete, with the ability to produce clean, coordinated construction documents.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively across disciplines.

Requirements
- An associate or technical degree in drafting/CAD, engineering technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Two or more years of structural or CAD design experience, with strong proficiency in Autodesk products
