Responsibilities

  • PJT Partners seeks to hire a motivated and detail-oriented candidate to join the finance department.
  • Execute and perform monthly close process cross all North America entities, adhering to the firm's structured close calendar and maintain accurate financial information in the Workday accounting system
  • Perform daily accounting processes including journal entries, account reconciliations and general ledger transactions spanning all corporate accounting areas including cash controls, accounts receivables, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, accruals, other assets and liabilities, and intercompany
  • Support SOX control documentation and adherence including journal entry review and account reconciliation controls
  • Support external audit requests, including preparation of workpapers, supporting schedules, and documentation of accounting conclusions

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting;
  • Hands-on experience with a major ERP system;
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, including general ledger processes and month-end close procedures;
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an accounting function; public accounting experience preferred;

Nice to have

  • 1-3 years of experience in an accounting function

  • CPA license and public accounting experiences preferred;
