About the role
- Description of Work The Cook is a skilled professional responsible for preparing nutritious meals for residents at O'Berry Center.
- This position involves preparing food in accordance with approved menus and portion quantities.
- Work is routinely reviewed by a supervisor to ensure compliance with food safety standards and effective minimization of food waste.
Responsibilities
- Basic knowledge of the standard tools, methods, and practices utilized to maintain food safety.
- Basic knowledge and ability to maintain high standards of sanitation as outlined in the NC Food Code.

Requirements
- The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required.

Skills
- Basic knowledge of methods of preparation and cooking of food in quantity lots.

Compensation
- $31,200 - $48,810
- Hiring salary will be based on relevant qualifications, internal equity, and budgetary considerations pertinent to the advertised position.
