About the role
- We work in-person 5 days a week out of our office in Midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities
- Build effective systems for agent orchestration. You'll engineer the core system that drives Qualia, improving its ability to reason over long horizons, run parallel experiments, and manage its knowledge.
- Scale environments for agent experiments and training. Help us build the sandboxed compute where agents run complex, high-performance experiments, and scale it to tens of thousands of concurrent deployments.
- Build effective systems for agent orchestration.
- You'll engineer the core system that drives Qualia, improving its ability to reason over long horizons, run parallel experiments, and manage its knowledge.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack or backend engineering experience, especially with Python
- Comfort working in unfamiliar codebases
- Ability to move quickly in a zero-to-one environment
- You must be a current undergraduate at a US or Canadian university.

- The role
- Your role will be the same as any Quadrillion full-time engineer's: shipping real product changes, fixing customer bugs, and building new features.
- Quadrillion is a startup building Qualia, an agentic research platform (think Jupyter or VS Code, but with AI agents that do the actual research).
- Our users are ML researchers, quants, and data scientists who use Qualia to run an entire research project from a single prompt.
